Bodywork

Traditional This Massage has been practiced for over 2500 years, it’s based on the Ayurvedic principles of balancing one’s energy flow. In both Eastern and Western Integrative healing systems, maintaining equilibrium in the body key to good health. Thai Massage is based on Sen, energy lines that run throughout the body, similar to the blood vessels carrying blood throughout the body. When the Sen become blocked, the energy stagnates and the body loses its balance, allowing disease.

I spent three extremely nourishing weeks in Doi Saket, Thailand learning  the “Fine Art of Thai Massage” with the infamous “Mac” Therchai Chumphoong in 2018. I have adapted some of the usually done on the floor Thai Massage sequence to the table weaving some of the signatures moves into sessions on the massage table. Traditional on the floor mat sessions available.

Raindrop Aroma Massage consists of essential oils dropped like rain up the spine and applied to muscles affecting both the physical and energetic body. Oils are then “feathered in” using a spine-tingling technique combined with swedish massage followed with tibetan foot reflexology.

Raindrop Technique derives its name from the art of dripping therapeutic-grade essential oils onto the body from a height (like rain), so that the oils interact with the physical body as well as the energetic field. Because the essential oils easily penetrate the skin and muscles, the technique works on deep levels of the body without requiring deep pressure.

Delight in the gentle splashes as therapeutic grade essential oils are applied up your spine and to your tired muscles. These oils are then “feathered in” using a spine-tingling technique combined with swedish massage. To complete the treatment delight in the sensation of sinking into an even deeper and more blissful state of rest, as you receive the ancient Tibetan version of reflexology on your feet.

Vitaflex Technique is designed to send an electrical pulse along the nerve pathways of the body. This pulse reaches areas of the body where there is a break in the electrical circuit caused by toxins, damaged tissues or loss of oxygen. Vitaflex Technique involves a distinctive movement of the hands and fingers that when combined, essential oils and electrical pulses, uplift the body and mind, and release tension, congestion and imbalances.

A Double Raindrop session for two side by side  is wonderful as well as cost effective.

Reiki

Reiki is Universal Life Energy. Reiki, (pronounced “ray key”), is actually two Japanese words: “Rei” means universal life and “ki” means energy. When activated, Reiki addresses body, mind and spirit by accelerating one’s ability to heal one’s self. The body is reminded of its ability to heal physical ailments, the mind opened to the causes of disease, and the spirit to the opportunity of taking responsibility for one’s life and the joys of balanced wellness. Reiki works on the assumption that each of us knows more about what is necessary for our healing than anybody else. It works with that innate ‘knowing’ part of ourselves that has created, caused or participated in the problem and therefore knows the antidote.
Thus, Reiki is complementary to any other form of healing. Reiki I is the hands-on method, which is experienced as a powerful yet unobtrusive flow of healing energy. The client usually experiences the warmth (sometimes coolness) of the energy emanating from the practitioner’s hands, in varying degrees. Most people experience a sense of calmness and a decrease in their stress level as a result of a Reiki session. Receiving Reiki is undoubtedly the best way to understand this natural flow of healing energy.
Reiki II is the second method and is also known as Distance Healing. Reiki II practitioners may provide a Healing from a distance with the permission from the client.
